 French for "fool the
eye" is the art of painting something to look real, as if it were
actually there, as opposed to being painted. These techniques use the
manipulation of light and color and shadow to create realistic three
dimensional objects. For example, a window where there really is none or
a permanent piece of furniture (like a bookcase or a table) painted
right on the wall! |
