If
you are interested in exploring all of the decorative painting options for
your home, we need to come and see it. Sorry, but you can't bring your
home to us. No exceptions. This meeting is called a
"consultation."
Divine Rooms services New York City and greater New York. Basically, that
means that's where most of our clients come from... but we're pretty
willing to travel should the need arise. We offer a one hour, no
obligation consultation to prospective clients. A small consultation fee
may apply. Please call for specific details.
During this first meeting we will meet you, listen to your dreams and
ideas about creating the perfect space, look over your room(s) and
ascertain what type of budget you would be comfortable working in.
Then we sit down and walk you through the extensive portfolio of photos
representing all techniques and show you some actual sample boards of
paint finishes. We will also discuss color and help you coordinate any
existing fabrics and floor coverings.
Are you totally lost and not sure what you want to do? Great! We can
inspire you with our ideas and independently design and create an entire
"look" just for you. But keep in mind, most people already know
what they want... they just don't KNOW they KNOW. Got it? So, it helps
tremendously if you've done a little homework. Look over some decorating
magazines and tear out the pictures that appeal to you. Be it the color of
a room, the technique, the ambiance... whatever. These are clues to help
us help you articulate what you really want.
Once we have achieved the basic planning of your room you will receive a
written estimate, which is good for 90 days. We always try to work around
your schedule (since it is YOUR home, it's the least we can do!) and time
frame preference, so we have a general idea of how to schedule you. We try
to be as flexible as possible.
Based upon all we've discussed and conceptualized it always helps to have
a visual aid. Communication is at this stage is essential. Therefore, a
customized sample representing exactly what your walls will look like is
required. Sketches or a rendering may also be required depending on your
project. There is a fee for samples and sketches and the turn around time
is usually a week. Details will be relayed to you in person, depending
upon your exact circumstances. It doesn't get any more
"customized" than that!
Once the sample is approved by you, we sign a little contract, take a
deposit, book your date... and you are one step closer to having the home
you always dreamed of.
By the way, in case you were wondering, we are fully insured and have
excellent references. We would also be happy to recommend base coat
painters, wall paper removers, plasterers, furniture strippers, interior
designers, floor refinishers and New York City restaurants, all you have
to do is ask!
We are always happy to answer any questions you may have, so please do not
hesitate to call. As we are often working in other people's homes, we
can't be in our office at the same time to answer the phone. It's
impossible. We've tried. So.... please leave a message, use our contact form or e-mail us, and we promise to
return your call as soon as we can! |
